The Woodlands

Specialized Memory Care

Placing your loved one in memory care can be a difficult decision.  Perhaps the following features of our Woodlands Program will help when making your selection.

  • Limited nurse administration of medications (LMA).  All medications are administered solely by a licensed nurse during the hours of 8 am and 10 pm, 7 days a week.

  • A Program Director, (licensed nurse,) with extensive training by the Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association, is responsible for the operation of the unit.

  • An Activities Director, trained by The Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association, is responsible for providing enriching, structured and stimulating activities daily.

  • Physician available monthly to see patients who contract his services.  Psychiatric counseling services available.
    Podiatrist available bi-monthly.

  • Contracted Agencies for on-site rehabilitation services (Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy), usually covered by Medicare Part B and most major insurance providers.

  • Secure home-like environment with emergency call system and alarms at all exits.

  • Private rooms with private baths or private rooms with shared baths.   Services include daily housekeeping, including laundry and fresh linens.

  • Private dining room and selective meals with two entree choices for each meal.  Separate activities lounge.

  • Focus on integrating Woodlands residents with Grove activities, when possible - weekly dinners, music programs and special events.
