Grove Manor Estates has within its community, a specialized care unit
designed for persons with
Alzheimer's disease and memory disorders and for residents requiring the
need for a higher level of
care. Staffing ratio per resident is similar to that found in a nursing
home. We employ an
experienced activities director who is dedicated solely to The Woodlands
unit and is responsible to
facilitate a daily activities program tailored to the needs of our
residents. All medications to
residents in The Woodlands unit are administered only by licensed nurses
through our Limited
Medication Administration (LMA) Program. All staff are trained and
certified by the
Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association.
Limited Nurse Administration of Medications (LMA). All medications are
administered solely by a licensed nurse during the hours of
8:00 am and 9:00 pm, seven days a week
24 hour staffing. All staffing including Resident Assistants (RA's) are
certified by The
Massachusetts Alzheimer's Association.
Staffing ratio per resident is similar to a skilled
nursing facility. RA's personal care includes
assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming and incontinence management.
Stimulating Activities Program. An Activities Director dedicated solely to
the Woodlands Unit is responsible for providing enriching and
stimulating activities to fit the needs of all residents.
On site physician and podiatrist are available monthly to see
their patients.
On site psychiatric/counseling services are available.
On site rehabilitation services (physical, occupational and speech
therapy) available, 5 days a week, covered by Medicare Part B and most
major insurance providers.
Three delicious meals daily, special diets available.
