Grove Manor Estates is owned and managed by the Anthony Franchi Family of eastern Massachusetts. For over 30 years, the A. Franchi family has developed, built and managed the finest senior living and health care facilities in Massachusetts. They have achieved much success with their senior communities and services. Their reputation for providing the highest quality of life for seniors is the result of family ownership and involvement, professional innovation and the total dedication of every staff member. Anthony A. Franchi, Sr. developed and opened The Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood, Massachusetts in 1973. The Ellis provides skilled nursing care, short term rehabilitation and long term care. Over the years, The Ellis has received many awards, including recognition by Good Housekeeping Magazine as one of the "Best 85 Nursing Homes in America". In 1987, the A. Franchi Family opened Meadow Green Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham, Massachusetts. Meadow Green has continued the tradition of excellence. Both facilities are fully accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and have received several years of deficiency free state survey reports. In 1996, Grove Manor Estates was opened in Braintree, Massachusetts, as an assisted living retirement community serving both independent and assisted living residents. The Woodlands was designed within Grove Manor as a special care neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia-related disorders. In 2001, the Glen, an independent living residence, was added to expand our continuum of care. In 1998, Grove Manor Estates was awarded special recognition by the Governor's Commission on Employment of People with Disabilities as one of 16 Exemplary Employers in the state. In 2006, Grove Manor was voted # 1 in the Reader's Choice Awards for Retirement Living Residences, derived from the annual readers survey in the Braintree Forum.
